DE Ben Gardner Visits Oakland

Stanford stand out, and recently injured (torn pectoral) Defensive End Ben Gardner, paid a visit to the Raiders this weekend.  He also spent time with the Chargers and 49ers.

Gardner is a talented player, and yet, he could be viewed as another product of the Stanford defensive system which produced huge numbers for the likes of Chase Thomas and Trent Murphy, a prospect who's slipping to the 2nd/3rd Round after early talks of a 1st Round slate.  Thomas went undrafted altogether and has barely played in the NFL despite HUGE defensive numbers while playing in Palo Alto.

Black Reign

You Have To Have Faith.  Let's Get It On Oakland.

Less Than A Month Away From The 2014 NFL Draft!

Tuesday, April 1, 2014

Pre-Draft Visits (Updated 4.14.14)

The Oakland Raiders have conducted or will conduct private workouts with the following 2014 NFL Draft Prospects:

CB Terrance Mitchell - Oregon (April 12th)
QB Blake Bortles - Central Florida (April 14th)
Vanderbilt WR Jordan Matthews (April 14th)

All three will privately visit and work out with Oakland before the Draft.

Per WalterFootball.com... South Florida DE Aaron Lynch has had a private workout with Oakland, as well as Clemson Offensive Lineman Brandon Thomas.  Lynch has a huge ceiling, but may have even bigger maturity issues, he is very young, but has talent.  Brandon Thomas tore his ACL working out for New Orleans last week...he was likely going to be a 2nd to 3rd Rd. pick, now he will likely drop a round or two and will medically sit out most, if not all of the 2014-2015 season.

Maryland CB Dexter McDougle will visit Oakland

Crown Jewel Defensive Prospect Jadeveon Clowney will visit Oakland next week...

DE Zach Moore - Concordia, St. Paul will visit Raiders (date n/a)

Marshall OT Garrett Scott will visit Raiders (date n/a)

Pitt QB Tom Savage will visit Oakland on Friday, 4/10

CB Brashaud Breeland - Clemson visited Oakland (date was unknonwn)

CB Kyle Fuller - Virginia Tech will visit the Raiders (date unknown), Fuller is one of the more complete CB prospects in this draft and would fit nicely for Oakland in Tarver's versatile scheme.  Likely a possible 2nd Rd. target.  Mayock loves Fuller.

Thanks to Mario Clavel and draftbreakdown.com for providing the video!

QB Zach Mettenberger - LSU will visit the Raiders (April 8th)

Thanks to JPDraftJedi for providing the film!
